Personally, I'll never go with AXA again.
My CL7 got hit from the side by an E-class taxi and the cabby claimed it was 100% wife's (the driver) fault.
His statement was pretty ludicrous that even his company declined to pursue so the cabby hired his own lawyer and pursued to court.
Court cited no other eye-witness so ruled 50-50. AXA accepted the court's ruling without fighting it on ridiculous grounds. Taxi was at a minor road (with stop line) my wife was at the main road, taxi turned and hit.
Cabby claimed that he was stationary at stop line but my CL7 somehow hit the taxi's front so hard that he was flung forwards causing him to hit his steering hard enough to cause chest trauma (got x-rays to prove some more). Cabby claimed the front and rear doors of my CL7 caved in because the hit was so hard.
From the cabby's viewpoint, I understand why he acted the way he did. His financial loss would be pretty high even if his driving record is spotless. Regardless, his moral integrity is definitely lacking in this case. Lesson learnt: never allow the other driver (especially if driving is their livelihood) to go without a written (and video) statement if I think it is his fault, dash-cam notwithstanding.
