Inspection can pass?

Post by hammerdin » Tue Aug 16, 2011 12:13 pm

bros,

I wanna mod some stuffs. dunno if inspection can pass for CL7A. If anyone know, can advice?

1. Daylights on bumper

2. HID. (i understand some CL7A comes with HID. Mine does not. So if I mod, can pass inspection? If not, what should I do to pass?)

3. Brakes and Exhaust (These 2, if accident, will the insurance company look at these 2 and say cannot claim?)

Any help to respond is appreciated. thanks in advance.

Item 1 and 2 cannot pass.

For HID unless yours originally got the auot levelling.

For item 3, brakes are usually ok. Exhaust some are LTA approved some are not.

I did my inspection at sin ming Vicom, surprisingly they also pass my euroR stock exhaust with muffle tip on this yr June. Hehe but all depend on the inspector tt day.

Normally inspector just pass during inspection. Doesnt matter to them unless its blatant mod. Pass inspection doesnt mean anything to TP who stop u. TP will escort u back to vicom to inspect and I am sure, this time round the inspector may not pass these 'illegal' mod so easily...

Just my thought
Why everything I like I cannot afford and LTA cannot passed?

understand for item 3, if you are taking aviva online application and you did not state that, then your policy is void. My colleague just got into accident and he just change his rims and the policy is void.

so can I conclude:
(1) - better dont do (because cannot pass)
(2) - can do (depends on the inspection pple, heng or sway)
(3) - mine not aviva, but chartis. Anyone knows?
