New Honda city, Not smooth when gear changes

Post by eug3n3_ang » Sun Jul 17, 2011 6:44 pm

Hi guys,

Anyone encounter same problem on the gear change from 1 to 2 and 2 to 3. Feels like there is a force pulling back when switching gear.
Somehow the same feeling when i drive manual and throw clutch.

Is it becoz i nv step enough accelerator?

May i know how to solve it?

Thanks in advance.

Bro, did you get it fixed? I'm having the same problem when moving off from cold engine. KM told me it is normal.

i think its normal.
usually when you do servicing, you got the smooth n power, but after a while, surge/pull back comes again.

can try using thinner engine oil to feel responsive

I think it's normal too. Use thinner engine oil. Do regular servicing. To further extend , I can intro u to go clear the carbon sludges.

Also cold start dun expect much, engine is not at its best state.

Change engine oil and transmission oil. Use oem honda atf or hmmf fluid for ur car. Basic servicing is critical. Clean air filter if u using drop in or oem one change. All this basic servicing need to do religiously. For a start wif ur air filter. Can be cause by lots or reasonsbut always start wif basic servicing when troubleshooting.
