questions that come to mind are:
1. are you on CNG?
CNG low end less power I guess.

2. Is your tyre botak?
tyre loss grip sometimes feels like "kicking"

Is the feeling like sudden disconnection of gear transmission and shortly engaged gear and can move off from stationary position after releasing foot brake?

I experienced that too!! Last time I do not have the habit of switching to Neutral when my car stops at the junction. Now becoz of this stupid problem, I have to shift to Neutral to avoid that kicking effect.. Dunno what to do..

My Airwave also having the same problem. It seems like when the r/min meter drop below 500 , when moving off or stopping time at the traffic light. Last time did not have this problems. The workshop suggest to change the start plugs , but did not solve the problems. Andbody know any workshop (Prefer) West side which can fixt this problems?

Badly clogged air filter can sometimes cause this, i think. Lack of response, rpm drop when u step on it or after u stop car suddenly, etc. Spark plugs, however lousy wun give such problems....unless it is super coated with carbon. But not likely.

HI All,

I have a 2006 Airwave, 110k km.

What you describe all seems farmilar to me.

I have resolved mine for SGD24 by replacing a rubber grommet and this valve called the PCV valve.

Rubber hardens and fails around 4-5yrs, this valve is made of plastic with a little plastic plunger and spring which has weakened.

Due to this extra recirculated unburnt fuel and fresh air is making its way into the air intake manifold.

As the airwave's car computer is always learning and adjusting, it keeps telling your engine to compensate until jerks are experienced by your gearbox flywheel and it is worst everytime when the A/C fan starts up.

Intermittenly, when starting off, you may also feel the transmission disconnecting rite?

I would say that this is the only cause, but mine was like this and I lived with it for 3 years till just a few days back.
