Hi guys,
Last week, I went to Kah Motor to test drive the 2.4 Accord. I was very excited with the features that packed into the car like memory seat, nice console, huge rear space etc, paddle shifter etc.
Everything was good until I brought the car to the road, why so sluggish! I cant believe it was a Honda! as far as I know, all the Honda cars ( EK, FD, CL7) I drove had driven possessed reasonable power and torque to pull off the car from still. Even if I put to “sportâ€

bro,
not sure what kind of performance you are after... but since this is a thread to share, I would like to share my experience as a CP2 owner (2.4 litre).
to begin with, accord is not meant to be driven like WRX or EVO hence, 0-100km/h is definitely not its forte. the real enjoyment comes on a highway where one can easily overtake a car effortlessly, but yet retain the level of engine refinement sound (yes, it is indeed a good cruiser esp on NS highway) and stability (which is why it is petrol drinker).... all being said, I haven't lost to any of the Sonata taxis around, small swift, or any of the speed wannabe for 0-100km/h sprint.
i m defintely no road arrogant but once a while like to intimidate those wannabe with loud exhaust but slow car.
In short, my advice to you:
- 0-100 acceleration craving but harsh ride: EVO, WRX, GTI, Cooper S etc
- Cruiser with luxury comfortable: Accord, (Merc, Audi -> if ur pockets are deep)
My 2 cents...

Well, i was looking for space after i scrap my EG and i never regret buying a CP2
I narrow my search to camry and CP2 and finally make a deposit after just 1 test drive. I agree on the car lack of power but really enjoy it while cruising on N/S highway as my EG use to scream while at high end.
Fuel consumption is still much better then my ex (13.0L/100km on EG)
On the steering vibration, u will get use to it after 1 mnth, its quite min.
The space is incredible, now i dont hv anymore complaint fm my mun/wif/kids. i notice this car is longer then BMW5 series that's why they build front sensor...heehee
I working on upgrading the car pickup power and not to lose the comfort, will post again if successful. same goes for the brakes....

I have installed a apexi neo 2 mnth ago on my CP2.
After tunning, improve alot on the low and mid pick up. you can feel power and torque pulling off the car improved ;No more lack.
fuel consumption after installing:
1 mnth i hit abt 9.13 per ltrs
2 mnth abt 10.3 per ltrs.......
im still monitoring; NOTE: im a light footer and driving style 70/30 on city/highway.
Next week,i will test on the high end and FC.
for those whose original brake disc hv probl. try chg the pad to HIGH temp. after market pad, they might hv the effect of straightening it back.
Those original thai brake disc are too soft or you can chg to brembo disc.
