Toda underdrive pulley
Toda underdrive pulley
Accidentally installed the Toda underdrive pulley (was at MR just to check out on my friend car), more than 2yrs never mod liao.
Good mod i must say. Car more responsive (like driving with AC off). Matches well with 5.1FD. It is kind of a win-win situation if you already have 5.1FD installed, since the engine rpm is held higher to achieve the same speed as 4.7FD, this offset the higher reduction ratio in driving the alternator.

And I am the poisonous friend who took one of the pulley.
It's a good mod. So far it's all gain even for stockish car like mine. I love the ability to pull ahead faster even with aircon turned on. Note that this mod doesnt increase horsepower but just reduce engine load (aircon compressor and alternator)

ixxit the crank pulley ??? wat the damage like?
oopss...not aircon...There's 2 pulley alternator and crank to be changed. As for damage... it's about $600+ I think...comes with belt. I was actually doing 80k service and got poisoned since I need to change the belt anyway...so it was also an opportunistic mod for me.viper76 wrote:naimster wrote:And I am the poisonous friend who took one of the pulley.
