I'm having the problem with my edix, the steering wheel start to shake when i step on the brake padel at around 60km/h for slowing down. The steering wheel is not shaking when driving up to 100-120km/h..... The brake padel is not shaking at slowing down or in high speed,.
I have change the brake pad, brake disc and tires and the problem still persist. One of the mechanic saw the lower arm bushing broken, will that cause the problem? Where can i get the lower arm bushing, i've called a few shops and they are selling the lower arm assembly, but i only require the bushing. Any guys encounter this problem before? pls help.......

Yes u can buy the bush from spare parts shop and motor repair shop can replace and save on changing rhe assembly arm.
However, the bush has to be push fit so additional $30 or $40 for removal of old and fit the new bush.

Silver, Thanks for providing the company selling Honda spare parts. Got the bushing real cheap.
Bushing Changed but did not worked. The problem still persist, the brake disc that i bought is a aftermarket disc($70 per piece) , i think i'll change to a original honda brake disc and do my alignment again. hope it helps.....
Any other suggestion?

Hi bro, may I know how much you spend to buy the bush and also labour cost to change?
I recently sent my car for servicing and mechanic recommends me to change both side's lower arm bushing as they are tearing. No wchange will affect the uneven wear of the front tyres. I was quoted about $150 per side.

If it shakes when you depress the brake pedal, most prob its the rotor thats warped. get it skimmed.

I owned an Edix before.
When braking the steering vibrate and only when braking, you were right to check brake pads, rotors, tyres, rims.
you should also check your brake system - brake pump, distributors, and brake fluids
it would be good to do a complete drain and refill your brake fluids if you had never done so the last 20,000km...
also check brake hoses and linkages as well as service your brake calipers - there may be a brake piston problem.
the edix is actually a bulky vehicle, and relies heavily on the brakes to control speeds...
should it persist, please bring it to the experienced mechanic to have the brakes system checked, plus the linkages and suspension.,
sometimes it's the damper itself too much freeplay on the shaft allowing vibration to creep in...
car is like dat... some problems got to hunt it down like crazy...
