Dear friends,

Need advice on the following: I often experience engine stalls when coming to stop from cruising. The rev drops too fast for the sensor to "catch" the idle setting, then car just dies off. Only happens when engine is hot. Any idea what the probable cause?

engine oil present, no checklight, difficulty in starting when engine is hot.. friend saying cos rev drop too fast sensor cannot detect..

do major service ?
coolant n stuff ?
ecu reset ?

Your problem seems to be similar to my old motorbike.
Is your ride a new car or old car?

Bikes is due to tuning, same for car?

few month i got the same problem but now it resolve by itself.

No more stall. But new problem is everytime i abt to stop at traffic light, i will clutch in....... Instead of rpm come down, it appear that rpm shoot up to near 3500rpm then after awhile then at idle speed.

I also notice it relates to air fuel when i can see my is all the way at the max of the air fuel meter. I try rest my ecu but still no answer.

most workshop find no solution to my probem. Many come out different story.

I believe yours is near lean side.

well i have this problem with my car previously too.. engine stalls after driven for a long time or when engine is hot or even worse when petrol is low. then after which i cannot start at all until engine cools down. it has something to do with ur fuel intake.

If you got put piggy-back, send for re-tuning for your idlling.. ur petrol at idliing shd be too lean. DO THIS FIRST!!

If problem still not solved then check fuel pump, fuel line and/or fuel & oil pressure and regulator.

Pls service your throttle body, sometime there is air leaking to the air intake.
The other thing can be the idling valve is not in good condition.
