Hi all,

I am new to this forum and got an Accord CP1 in Malaysia. Just wondering if anyone knows if the current Civic factory fitted HID can be used in the Accord CP model? Will be coming down to Singapore every month and are looking into few ways to enhance my car. Cheers

Hi danwty, welcome to the club. May be best you check if the CP1 comes with HID. I'm driving the CP2 and its comes factory fitted. Go for 18", it looks niceer. IMHO. Happy New Year.

Hi Stingray,

thanks a lot for the information. The malaysian version of CP1 doesn't come with HID and that is the reason why I am think of installing and I don't want any of those after market HID as it spoil easily. Do you know any shop in Singapore that sell the originial HID set for CP2?

I think 18 will look nice but I am very worried about the power loss for the car as you know mine is only CP1.

I have installed the Pivot Throttle control for my car and it does feel lighter as I put it in Sport mode. Not a bad item at all.

Yo bro Stingray, u always add poison.... :D

Hi danwty, I have not come across any shop that does "original HID set" for CP2. But, I did HID set for my CP2 fog lights and it has been good so far (>1 yr). get those made in korea bulb n ballast....if need contact, then pm me.

HNY to all!

cheers!

Thanks a lot for the information, maybe the best is to check with Honda Malaysia and Singapore to see if they can change the stock headlight to HID..

Wahhh, don't like that lehhh. By the way, this thread is a little slow. Good for some new blood.
Any plans to change your ride or you have changed without informing... Haa haa
Hi danwty, try to add lights to your booth reflector, original no light. Time to be different with other CPs. The group in Singapore done that.

Yes, it is available in Malaysia but I don't really like this headlight unit...still prefer the original...don't want to make my honda looks like an audi..hehe...

By the way, anyone feels that the reading light in the car is hot even after switching on for a few minutes? Anyone ever change the bulbs to While LED?

wats bro stingray means is adding a bulb into your reflector found on your boot. Besides yr normal brake lights, there are 2 horizontal red color reflectors. They are suppose to be so call rear "fog lights" but KM did not add the bulbs inside....our group had modded it. so if u see CPs with 4 braking lights, it's members of our group. And if you see a white CP2 with 4 braking lights and the 3rd brake light blinking while trying to stop, that got to be me only!! haha...

Yo Weaver, you the can. Your break light continuous blinking or stop blinking after some time ??? Does the relay cause a tic / tag sound ???
I've thought of adding day running light around the fog lights. I don't like the after market fitted to the lower bumper.

bro, my 3rd brake light is similar to F1 braking light. When u step, it blinks for 8 or 10 times (cant remember clearly cos install quite a while alr) then stop. Very safety oriented.

No, there is no tic tag sound.

Me also got a DRL fitted infront but not below bumper type. Its fitted above my sport grill (carbon fibered). Very unique and curve to the contour of the grill. Think only I have in SIN!! haha....

Ya, was down in Singapore last week and hardly see any CPs...weird. went to a few car accessories shops last weeked and was introduced to Cascar after market DVD player and also saw the Osram HID (4.2k) which is just now as I don't want ppl to know it is after market. cost around RM1200 in malaysia.

How much is the HID that you mentioned, POKI?
