Advice Needed for my 4 year old ride

Post by Solaris » Fri Nov 19, 2010 10:00 am

Hi...

I have just bought an old SGJ 4years 4mth old Civic, Believe it is a FD1, 1.8a from second dealer in ubi.

I like to send it for a thorough check, because i dont quite trust the salesman.

Any recommendation for a general service and wheel alignment ?

And what to look out for ?

Thanks all for your time

What is the mileage for the 4 years old car? Any service record?

Servicing I propose you can visit Soon Khiang Motor (Ah-Heng) situated at Blk 13 Defu Lane, while alignment, I myself visited Kenny Wheels situated at AMK Autopoint II level 4. I also visited the workshop opp OSK Auto can look for Ah Chai.

Mileage is 62k, I doubt so, as the interior dont like new. quite worn.

Thanks for your recommendation. Will arrange for a trip there soon.

Can consider, but do take note of their pricing.

Is it illegal for dealers to alter the mileage? I have not heard of anyone getting into trouble with the law for such an alteration.

Don't go to STA. It costs a lot and nothing turned up on the so called 120-point check. My car is 3 years old and there is no way that everything is in tip top condition.

they usually check for major accidents only (chasis). if minor accidents, dun think can tell if repairs r done well. best to send car to ur trusted mechanic to have a better view b4 buy if possible, but then also no 100%. so if really worried, buy new cars with agent warranties.
