Honda Civic 1.8l 2007 (RPM Problem)

Hello,
I just got a second hand Civic 1.8 auto.

Before the purchase of the car, I had tap the accelerator and release, as the rmp was dropping to 1300, it automatically bounced up to 1500 and slowly declined back to 1000 rpm.
The sales guy had brought the car back to KAH Motors to check and there is nothing wrong with the car. He and I had also checked with other civics 1.8, it is the same.

But when I had check the 06 model 1.8, it does not have the problem.

Anyone driving the civic 07 model, who have the same problem.

Please do advise.

Many Thanks!!

Regards. :)

did this "problem" happen once, or u can reproduce it everytime?

i've 2007 fd1 manual.
didn't notice yr problem, only notice the following:

when the car gets older (2yrs+), during idling at normal 750rpm, it can drop to 500rpm (eg, when aircon turns on), then quickly climbs up to 1,000 before dropping back to normal 750.

Go back to Kah Motors and have update your ecu program.
I used to have idling rpm issue but after update for more than half a year, so far very good.

bro, can i check with you , on how to arrange for the updating of the programme?

Simply walk in to Kah motor and say that "i want to update the ECU>?"
