Advise needed for total loss claim

Post by nikiaD » Wed Sep 29, 2010 10:45 pm

Anyone knows how long does it take for them to process a claim? It's been almost 3 weeks since my accident and i've been calling the insurance company every 2-3 days and the answer i get is to call back later bah bah bah. Without clearing this current car finance i might have problem getting another car and car rental is not really an option cause the cheapest i can find is around $800/mth. Is there anything i can do to get them to 'work' faster? Would getting a lawyer to write them a letter help? no more rubbish insurance company the next time

hmmmm.... calling is no use cos they can just ask you to call them back later.. and forget about it if they are busy.

which insurer is it? best is if you can call the mainline, ask them who's in charge of claims, get that person's name and email, and send email to them and cc their bosses.. usually that'll work better. :)
