then at night, after parking my car for abt 10 mins, when i restart the engine, same thing happens again... air con not cold but resume back to normal after 5 mins....
anyone know the reason? Fan spoil? no gas?
Appreciate your advise.

Thanks bro.... so i need to get it checked or better to wait n see?
Will it cause additional related major damage if i wait n see?
how much is it to replace either the compressor or cooling coil?
Any good workshop to recommend?

I jus went to KM yesterday and they recommend to do a swtich relay n monitor first.
The problem happens again this morning and the service advisor recommends replacing the magnetic coil and clutch and cost is about $600.
They say mosting likely is the clutch worn out.
Sian..... Dunno what is true....

how much you spend to change? KM charging me $600 plus to change the coil n clutch or $1k plus to replace the compressor.

Hi bro,
I have similar prob lately. Suggest u will open ur bonnet and observe if your magnetic clutch is engaging when compressor cut in. If compressor cut in but magnetic clutch doesnt engage u will use a spanner to light tab on it and feel if there is magnetic power. If yes, it is likely to be magnetic clutch wore out. I recently encounter similar prob and has been rectified at Tomika aircon specialist located at Ubi. The whole compressor was dismantled and magnetic clutch remove and balanced. The ac pulley bearing also changed. Refill oil and gas. Total cost less than 230$. I ask the mech how long my FD compressor will last. They claim that honda compressor is v durable. However, the magnetic clutch and bearing required constant repair (2-3yrs). Some un-prof workshop will likely to suggest replacement of compressor.
Check out their site:

Hope the above will be useful.
