I thinking of either 550D or 5000D

But when I compare the 2 550D spec is much better.

Should I be comparing to D90 instead

Get the 550. If you can afford more budget, get the 7D. I got it with a 24-105m L Lens. Super sharp.

from my experience, I find that canon lens are more affordable than Nikon. So based on TS, it all depends how particular you are in terms of pricing, color and if you want to go for Full frame or not.

Hi all pros, thanks for the contribution to my thread for help.Actually I am thinking of getting the Canon D550,but compared to the D500(both kit 2),the lens zoom can only go till 135mm whereas the D500 can go up to 200mm hence I do not know if there is a huge difference that I am paying as at first I am puzzled why the new model D550 is cheaper than old model D500 and that is when the sales person explained to me.

Anyway, where is this john 3:16 by the way?Can any pros provide the contact so that I can check out the price,

Kum Sia!

Anyone has exprience with Sony Alpha A500. From the review I got from CS. This model is doing a wonderful job for a low light condition shoot with a decent noise reduction.

I would recommend Nikon D90 kit. It includes D90 body + 18-105mm f/3.5 VR Lens. This kit will be good enuf to learn and pick up the hobby.

I am choosing between Nikon D90 and Canon 500D (I think). I bought Nikon D90 because Canon 500D can go up to 16 MegaPix. But the processor are still old technology. Hence, pictures above 12 MegaPix has higher chance of noise. You can do some research on the both model. Lastly, 500D body is a bit too small for my hand.
Check out this D90 kit at Electronics fairs. Its about $1800+

Of cos, i cannot comment on other brands cos i have not done any research on them. Happy Shooting...
