Hi bros, am new here and not too technically clever with car engines so got a few questions for seniors here. Am intending to redo up an old civic hb, not sure if worth it or will burn big hole:
1. How much would it cost to re-do (overhaul or exchange) a 92 esi engine?
2. What are the parts that needs changing if auto transmission car?
3. Any chance that workshop can repair rusty parts of the body?
A friend of mine says you engine overhaul goes for around $800+, is this true?
Thanks for any help and advice, drive safe!

Nobody is technically versed before educated in this.
But as Sporean you should be good in mathematics to calculate vehicle value before any committing to it b4 u hug the car to death.

Yep, aware of the dooming increase of COE, but would like to ask an estimation of the car price - technical side. Thanks for the help!

1. Yr fren is not wrong. But yet depends on the work done for "overhaul" may go up to 2k.
2. Pls elaborate needs changing, which area of parts u refering to?
3. Vehicle restoration range from simple paintwork, or complete chassis restoration which may cost up to 5k depend on requirement & standard.
