Any bro can advise if this is normal when connected to a VAFC? If so, how long does it take to stabilise as the engine keep die off? Was quite stable until i disconnect the (-) battery terminal to do my amp.

==> try to reset it again or set the idling rpm settings of your VAFC to zero...

I disconnected the battery (-) terminal for 1min and reconnect back. But still face idling problem, esp when car come to a stop after moving. RPM will drop and slowly back to normal rpm again..when the RPM drop till 500+, there are occasion the car will just stall. Is it true the ECU need more time to learn before rpm can stabilise again? I came across this article which seems to suggest that too. http://www.civicforums.com/forums/182-7 ... t-ecu.html

==> bro, copy down all the settings of your VAFC and once u have all those information, perform a re-initialize of the VAFC... after doing so, put back all the basic configuration then start engine... see if it hunts again... if its ok then put back the tuning parameters.

Err...sounds good but what are basic parameters? What are tuning parameters?

Bro Ultrabear..thank you.Haha.. I am impatient, so i proceed to reinitialise it just now. So this what I have done:-

a) Copy down all the setting under 'ETC' and 'SETTINGS'
b) Then go to ETC-> Initialise-> Choose YES
c) After i chose yes..nothing seems to happen (Weird...I though I suppose to see message straight away telling me it is successful or something?)
d) So I decide to turn off before power on the car again to see if the settings are erased
e) Lucky enuff, the setting all erased and back to factory setting
f) After starting the engine..idling is quite stable..amazingly stable
g) Then i start to re-enter what i copied down under 'ETC'
h) Idling still relatively stable (Maybe the rpm slightly less stable as compared to factory setting)
i) Next, I enter what i copied down under 'SETTINGS'.
j) Now idling RPM does fluctuate slightly around 950 RPM with or without aircon.( I though it was quite high RPM for idling. )
k) Tried to adjust the idling screw clockwise near throttle body but not reduce the RPM much

So i went test drive the car, car is very smooth probably because of the high idling RPM.(Next, I probably wana find out how i can reduce the idling RPM to 800+ rpm. Is the ECU still learning now, will the idling RPM lower down by itself?)

When Engine is on, realised the PRESSURE is 500+Hmg, COR is -17. ANd when engine is off, PRESSURE Is -+0.15Hmg. Is that normal?

Bro, do u mean not setting anything under "NARR THR" and "WIDE THR"? Make the chart flat? I presume all those parameter under "ETC" is a MUST to enter..Anyway the car does not die off as compared to before INITIALISE.:) Just wonder what is COR and whether 17 is normal? ANy idea how to reduce the idling rpm?

bro, i got somehow the same problem with you.. let me brief a bit more.

2 weeks ago just changed my idling valve and dr heng help me tune my VAFC and he told me to give the car 2 weeks to relearn the new idling.

somehoww.. 2 weeks liaos, idling still hovering up and down ard 1.2k to 1.0k. but i found out a trip to let me stable down by half-clutch with brakes on.

any guidance for this?

==> bro, its better to meet up in person for me to look at it coz its not that easy to describe and pen down all those information....

Don do that too often.... It will bur your clutch pads... :) :)
