Hi guru, need your expertise on back pressure exhaust.
I have modified my exhaust flow and have a good flow out during max rev.
Unfortunate, the downside is during initiate acclr. I do not get to maintain high rev during 2nd gear. My fren did mention my exhaust do not have enough back pressure to sustain high rev in 2nd gear.
One advise to modify my FD2 by changing exhaust 4-2-1
Many tks for your contribution. Advance TQ

I also spend alot of $$ on exhaust to find out why.
I can't explain clearly, but i will try to find the contact of the person call Uncle Lee. He will explain every clearly the reason in techical for why. even intake also .

Most of the Car need back pressure and what i did is have side plant to control back pressure manually

But i saw a website selling a sideplant ( forgot the brand)that can auto change the value opening by various RPM, If not mistaken can input 3 setting
example: 800 RPM high back pressure,
3000 = abit back pressure
5000 = full flow.

Usually high flow exhaust with 4-1 headers will comes in with high cams and high compression engine mod. The target power range (tuned) should be above 3.5k or higher. If at 2nd gear you cannot maintain at the targeted rev zone, then the Gearbox final drive need to be replaced to a higher ratio.

Tks <steadymatrock>.
Btw, do you know the budget for high cams and high compression engine mod?????
I hv heard someone mod the CTR using above with 5 speed gearbox to maintenance high rev for short burst. It really push fast, fast...

Sorry I'm not so sure, maybe around 3-5k depends on what been changed. Cams and springs around 2k+ (new) The simplest high comp mod is to replace the head gasket to a thinner one. The complex will be changing of pistons and con-rods.
