anti rust coating necessary for new Accord

hi bros,
was wondering if the anti rust coating is really necessary for our accord. Just went for 1K servicing and my SE told me the car got no anti rust coat at all and asked if i want to do...
any expert advice?

I am not expert...but i think it's not necessary...most ppl change their cars before the 3rd year anyway...

If I dont remember wrongly...it cost $300 ++. Its really up to you and there is no harm doing it if you can afford. In the olden days, all new cars come with this anti-rust coating. Due to cost, they dont include it anymore....
In view of our tropical weather, it may be good to do it....then again, its yr choice....cheers!
