I have friend who recommend open pod with custom made box up. So i am thinking whether to go for original drop in or open pod with customised box. Which are you using now?

Do not use knn filter.
My car R18 engine just died after using a drop in for one month.
It was not the oil used by knn as proven by knn.
The actual cause was due to the small particles that knn filter allows through that clogged up the MAF sensor..
Unable to start the engine after the car just died.
Cranking is good so battery n starter are ok. Fuel pressure is there too.

As the filter was the new thing used, So opened up the filterbox n found the upper box has a layer of fine dust inside. Did a quick blow on the MAF n reinstall. Was able to get the engine to run for a second or 2.
Next changed out the knn filter to my old airfilter, cleaned the inside of upper box and did a thorough blow clean of the MAF sensor with my mouth. Reinstall back.
And i was able to start the engine again.
So beware.
