ody RB1 shift shock

ody RB1 shift shock

my ody has clocked close to 120k and is now experiencing jerk when the gear down shift. Chged mounting which was broke but shift shock still there. Mechanics pointed out is the torque converter problem. any bros got tis problem :cry:

Bro hv you been replacing the ATF regularly? it could be due to aging ATF. my milages is 210k and still going strong.......:)

got leh.....i chge them every 25k. Anyway, will do a total flush n c how. Frankly, saw bro cleanwipe wack his autotrans like nobody business, also machiam like no problem. ..rb1 autotrans cant b tat lousy leh imo :oops:

Bro u are the lucky few to witness White knight in action lei. Btw, u own the ody brand new? If bought used maybe the first owner had already injured the gear box Liow.

Try go for a full flush then see if problem still there boh loh... Honda gear box generally are one of the best be it auto or manual and engine too:)

for now, the simplest n cheapest ways r to do a total flush. if tat don work, then chge e solenoid. If still cmi, seow liao :lol:

change ur atf filter and see got improvement boh....hope it help...

bro, mi really sceptical abt chgeing filter will help. if spent another few hundreds n still don work, money down e drain again. Might as well do it once n for all at 1.2k sing dollar over at JB.

btw, was charged 200 bucks for atf chge which i felt was :x

Cos you do flushing mah....anyway even if you are changing ur gear box you might as well change the filtertoo. hope u get a gd one:)

more than 3lit less than 4lit loh.....you need to buy 4 bottles as it come in 1lit size, if you buy it urself. Use back honda atf for ody.

Finally, got mi ody back.
When everything was assemble back by e workshop foreman, ppl from e autotrans co. came down for a final inspection b4 e car is put to e road test. Quite professional n responsible i wuld say. The drive reveals tat e autotrans was as gd as new n i was ensured tat all internal prts tat needs to be replaced (oil seals, clutch, filter, etc) r new. And warranty includes e valve body as well.

total damage=4k ringgit
