it's easy to do swap to K20A
go to workshop in KL. Ask for the swap. leave car there for a week.
collect after... pay the workshop... NO problem...
problem is when u go for inspection in Singapore
1 - cheating the government of road tax from 1.6/1.7 to 2.0 litre. for X years of the car from date of registration
2 - I guess no cheating of COE if your ride is ES1. both Cat2. if 1.6 - big problem... cheating using Cat2 car wif a Cat 1 COE.
Insurance issues - everything will be null, and if insurance ever pay for anything for the car, will sue u you get the money back.
In singapore LTA law, swapping of engine is considered a major engine modification. penalty is in 5 figures fine, plus chong gong the car... if they give chance, make u mod it back to original and just fine u a few k if you were not caught racing...
Other than that, shud be OK la...
it's a very exciting mod... make sure dun stop at engine only. you will need to rebalance the car front and rear weight distribution, uprate the suspensions and most impt the brakes to handle the increase in gross weight, and almost 130% increase in horsepower... type R engined honda usually have brembo 4 pot bbks... yours shud not have anything less...
of course, the ECU shud be a type R one, if not motec... or hondata at the very least...
what's your budget by the way?

8k can turbocharge mod. but only the turbo setup. your car won't last long with it.
real turbocharging and readying the car for such a power upgrade was calculated to be around 20k... or at least 16k if cut a few corners and use some cheeper substitute ...
hey it's your car. do whatever you like with it man... just let us learn from you as well

sorry...my 2 cents..
doing such major mods which is illegal isnt worth it at all..
your car isnt designed to take that kind of power in the 1st place...
you will see a lot of parts failing prematurely...
seen it for myself when my friends did things which their vehicle was not suited for..
not to mention the legal aspects...
better off changing to a car which can satisfy your desire..
