Exhaust broken in two

Hi guys,
Driving an esi. sent to my mech for servicing last week and he told me my exhaust is broken. he took some shots of it and looks like it must have broken when i went over a hump too fast few months back.
anyone knows what's the drawback of not changing my exhaust soon? what else will it affect? and most importantly, is it going to be dangerous? ive already been driving with it for past month or so, when driving window down, eyes does get watery, and the smell of the fumes is super strong.
its either this, or my steering master pump that will be changed next. hoping to get some input last min.

thanks a milllion!
