Hi everyone,
I am driving a 5 year old honda city i-DSI. Recently, i had this engine mafunction indicator light ON in my dashboard.
I had sent to 2 mechanic shops for diagnostics test. Though the results are the same ' IACV Circuit Failure'..i have 2 different recommendations.
One is to change the throttle body and the other is to change the air flow sensor..
any one has any similar experience on this?
What happens is that during idle speed ..the car has high REVs..and sometimes when at traffic lights..the car jerks..
Thanks!!!!!

i juz had the same problem last thur.. engine light came on and the 'D' started to flicker.. shut down the car and restarted and the problem didn't coma back ever since.. went for my 70k servicing at kah motor on sat and described the problem to them.. they took 1 whole day (sent in my car at 8.30am, they called me at 4.30pm) to tell me that i have to replace my whole gearbox which would cost >$10k!
asked around what should i do and a fren recommended me his workshop in ubi.. went on this wed and there were no fault codes found from the diagnostics.. he asked me for any other symptoms and i told him that i had the same problems that you guys had (rpm unstable and all that).. he took out my throttle body and had it cleaned.. he said juz have to monitor and see if there are any other problems.. so i paid $40 to solve my problem instead of >$10k!
