ES5-Optitron meter light (Blue circle)

Hi All, my es5 speedometer blue light looks uneven brightness. some looks bit dark. any one experience same problems? Please advise

if this blue thing is EL type then ur inverter got prob.
if its LED lighting based then the dimmer parts of the meter LED blow liao.

the blue colour that you see is white light through a blue filter.. the lighting is provided by MANY white colour LEDs ... i guess one of them is spoilt and hence, resulting in the uneven brightness that you observed

Bro..many thanks for your kind info...beside KAH motor, any where i can get them replaced..(knowing not so important but very "KA WEI" during the drive..think u bro will undertsand my feeling :)

The replacement of the white LED is very troublesome as you will need to take out all the needles, which will affect the correct reading of speed, RPM, etc. For instance, your speedometer may display 100km/h, but in actual fact, u are travelling at 96km/h. You will need to re-calibrate your meter.

I would advise you to go back KAH.

But if you want to change all LEDs to different colour, I can pass you a contact (freelance).
