FUEL COMSUMPTION OF MY FD2

Post by impished » Sat Aug 22, 2009 8:49 pm

hey guys.. i just bought my civic on the 20aug09.. its a feb06 car. so its 3years car but the mileage is only 35k and the condition is really good..

but the thing is that my FC is really on the high side.. one full tank will only let me go 360km.. and i do not use my paddle shifters alot. and this really scares the daylight out of me. haha

was wondering if anyone know why the FC is so high? or is there anything i can install to make the FC lesser?

thanks alot guys..

The result is normal for FD2 if u always city drive, FD1 get better around >440km.
The above info base on my friend which is FD owner, my civic ET 2.0 more worse, 40liter can only get 300km on city drive..... :?

my FD2A can hit 1litre average 11 to 11.3km, 50 50 hard and normal driving, dont judge on the full tank u pump, use your milleage and litres u pump into the tank to do calculation for a few tank.

u can change your spark plugs and filter if yours is a used car, that is the most basic combustions process that take place in the engine, more hard core one can send for tuning which is costly. engine oil viscosity also plays apart.

look at your rear lamp

for face-lifted honda civic FD2, the lamp is shape of a polygon instead of a circle.

anyone can correct me?

brother you mileage is correct is like that de I am 09 one but same la bad mileage.
Yours is the round rear light one. Mine is bad too I use to it too. I enjoy the ride but not the petrol mileage. Noise haizz is a issue too. I am not about petrol brand if I use Esso or Caltex worst the mileage. But still stick to Caltex cause is clean, the petrol.

City drive and highway drive may make a difference in the consumption.
The best consumption i ever had on my CTR was 520km with daily aircon on on V power. But one end to the other were always on highway.
