Cheers Marcson,
I bet you waited for the black model for quite sometime? Very nice indeed. See my previous posts about those accessories... any thing you might want to recommend or suggests?
Hi chalski,
Heard from a salesman from KM that they do have a unit of Insight in their garage. OMV is about $30k. Their asking price is about $120k. According to the salesman from KM, the reason why PI is selling Insight about $80k is because they got the car with lower OMV.
Dear all Insight owners:
I have learnt from my service centre that Insight's Air Filter costs about $90. Does anyone has any comments?

Well I don't think Mr.KahMotors was being considerate, I guess he just wants to push HCH sales. I mean for OMV to have +$2k more can result in your car selling price to + $40k? Do the math and see if its worth $120k. Our OMVs from PIs are about $28k. I don't mind OMV $2k lesser just to get what I want...
When I first test drive HCH, the comfort level is much better than Insight. The only thing that I dislike (as a young married couple)
1) Can't change rims.
2) No reverse cam (don't even want to throw in)
3) Colors quite confusing - esp White.
4) Looks not so sporty compared to Insight
5) Its a petrol car that decides to convert to IMA technology. (Just like Honda Fit which is going to be IMA-ed) Where Insight is a pure design of a hybrid car - go figure on its car body, car seats, dashboard,
Pros
1) Authorised Dealer. Its KAH Motors man! Servicing.. I guess its better than PI's servicing outlets?
2) More HCH on the roads, resembles Honda Civic, accessories easier to get. I mean who knows about Insight now?
3) I dislike Insight OEM stock tires... Dunlop SP31... *yuck* but no choice
When I test drove a hybrid once you like it, and you came upon Insight.. the feeling to get HCH just disappears...
Never chk on air filter price. But I realise it resembles a lot of Honda Fit's Air Filter...wonder if they both fits....
*Is there something you wish to highlight about the air filter?

I came across this custom molded visors in eBay US. Total + shipping is around US$75

As for the air filter, the Insight's design does not fit other models. So far I only know K&N has aftermarket filter for Insight.

I've got a good Poly mate who's back from Arizona, Ph (US). I mentioned to him about shipping Insight Stuff from US.Singer high wrote:I came across this custom molded visors in eBay US. Total + shipping is around US$75

He's just went off for a short trip to a neighbouring country. I will feedbck more details. Based on my wishlist, and this K&N Air fliter is somehow enticing me after 2 of the bros here tempting me to look into air fliters...
I'm just concerned for US sites whether Credit Card payment legit? Apparently, they don allow international shipments and even if I ship it to my fren's US address, I must use his CCard rather than mine, because my CCard has a S'pore address.
Stay tuned.

I changed my filter during my 20k servicing at cdge, they managed to source an air filter for Insight at $40 plus.marcson wrote:Hi chalski,

KM/L Fuel Consumption Rate
Seriously,
I don't know what to say, but my recent fuel mileage has been ranging btwn 18.7 - 18.2 km/l
I've been religiously sticking with Esso - 5000. After this pump, shall go for Shell 95. On my last 3-4 pumps, I travelled about 582+km, pumped in 32.XX litres.
The only good thing is when I reset my A trip meter, it kicks starts from 26km/l all the way till about 19.5km/l. Strangely, my system reads 19.5km/l. But upon calculation, doesn't seem so. I read in insightcentral.net, the system is pretty accurate - variation close to 0.1km/l
Haha, now I'm starting to wonder about how much weight the Insight carries.
1) Leather seats
2) 15" Alloy rims
3) Myself. I'm about 86kg...
4) Boot - kept a couple of cleaning products and sponges.
