HELP!!checklight problem...

Hi all bros.... my car(ek4) checklight lit up last week n i went to had it checked at yishun industrial park using the dono wat machine to see wat's the error.. ended up the technician told mi tat it was a switch sensor(i think they call it COOLING SWITCH or something like tat) located outside the engine bay on the left tat was spoiled n needs to be replaced. but problem now is tat they don have it as it's a COE car n ask me to go elsewhere find myself.. anyone got any idea which workshop can help me with dis problem?
Would greatly appreciate it if someone can help me with dis issue..

never heard of a "cooling switch" in EK4. can u remember wats the error code? its a 2 digit number, for example 24 etc.
Or is he referring to the radiator fan switch? That 1 spoil is really serious

Is there anymore check light when u drive? If no, then no worries. If yes, u can check the error code yrself.
There is a manual way to check ecu error codes.

how? sometimes i drive it's on.. how do i check the error code myself?

Hey bro, can you teach me how to check the ECU error codes as well? The engine checklight appears sometimes on my ESI.
