Say 2k or under?J-AP2 wrote:Budget?NT wrote:Hi all,
I read with interest all the comments so far in this thread.
At the moment, I'm using stock Type S suspension but am thinking of changing to aftermarket because the car doesn't feel very stable at high speeed.
So my main requirements are:
1. car needs to feel "planted" or stable at high speed, mainly for safety especially on the NSH;
2. Improvement in handling;
3. Not something that is bone shattering since I sometimes have passengers.
Any recommendations?

Fer brand new below 2k, there's hardly anything, or rather anything better than the stock Type S shocks. Fer used coilovers I guess it really depends what pops into the 2nd hand market. Generally, if u want more comfort with performance, u have to steer towards the european dampers, such as Ohlins, Moton, KW etc etc. How comfortable is however also subjective. I'm quite used to rather stiff setups, but after moving from HKS Hipermax 3 Sport to Moton StreetSport, the difference in damping is very apparent, given they have almost identical spring rates.

It's not 100% necessary but of course if u wanted the way Honda matched it then you would need the Type S front n rear ARB. Personally I feel the AP2 ARBs are fine to just leave them there n work on other stuff such as alignment n tire pressures to adjust the over/understeer, which is subjective to different drivers.mistral wrote:if you change to the type s shocks - i guess you also need to change to the type s roll bars?

Mine is AP2 using V2. warranty 2 years. If u r looking for V3 there isnt any warranty n the price differ 500-1k if u order online.looloo wrote:any bros here using KW and driving a AP2 ?? Because AutoVox just replied me that KW has no fitment for AP2. Only available for AP1. Anyone can verify this?
Autovox doesnt want to guarantee fitment
1. They hv no experience fitting on AP2
2. Catalog state AP1.
Warranty only valid if buy from local distributor/dealer. Lim Tan Motor offer the lowest price among the other dealer or even autovox. Furthermore inclusive alignment.
