Mequiar Ultimate Quick Detailer

Post by Clear Vision » Thu May 28, 2009 2:09 pm

Hi Guys,
Need some advice please.
Hear so much about Mequiar Ultimate Quick Detailer, so bought 1 bottle few days ago and apply on my existing 3 yrs old Honda car. Really good, smooth and very happy with it.

I be collecting my new Black car soon and wonder if can apply the above on to the Windscreen and window too ? Since its so smooth, was thinking perhaps can also repel waer if apply on Windscreen. Any one have these experience to share please.

Another question. Was also thinking of buying and applying Mequiar Synetic Sealand 2.0 but too expensive at $45. Not sure if it work since UQD $25 works . Many thanks

Better use as instructed. ie. car polish for car body only. Buy glass polish or other stuff for the purpose.

You wouldn't want to end up with juddering wipers etc. drive you up the wall

First of all, both are different classes of products.

UQD is a Boosted Quick Detailer. It has some hydrophobic properties but it doesn't replace a wax/sealant. It is used more like a topper after a car wash.

However, M21 Synthetic Sealant is considered a wax/sealant. It's used to protect the paint from our harsh weather.

You'll apply M21 maybe once every month or two and you top up with UQD every time you wash your car to maintain the slickness and shine.

IMO , M21 is very easy to apply and buff off. But durability is weak for my liking.

DG951 = sealant but spray on type
Meg UQW = spray on wax

If you ask me, UQW leaves a very slick look..

Tips: This one Bro Pet in Civic FD showed me..
Meg UQW slick look + #135 = Wet and slick look...try yourself. No regrets!
