Hi fishyfish,
I'm on the CP2, originally on 225/50/17 and just changed to 225/40/19. Initially wasn't sure to upsize to 19" as most bros changed to 18". There were opinions like too heavy, too draggy, too noisy, less comfort, higher FC etc.
I could have changed to a wider tyre with lower profile but there will be trade off. I'm not the expert in this area but my feel after changing to 19" is the ride is much more stable in high speed driving and conering and less roll. The response to steering is also sharper. As to being draggy and heavy on the steering, not at all. Moving off from standstill and stepping on the gas when cruising, I felt was lighter and more responsive. Probably because of the weight of the rim and tyre which was lighter than the original.
In the noise and comfort department, there was slightly more noise and I can feel the bumps and thunps over uneven road surface but I can still live with it. Can't comment on the FC (I'm not bothered) yet but in my opinion, all the above are also dependent on the brand of tyres as well. Last but not least, I think the trade off for noise and comfort will be better handling (to me that is safety) and aesthetics (looks like a different car altogether...ha..ha..). Any comments from bros on 18"?

Bro ngiing, paiseh, don't know how to upload pic. My tyre size is correct. My rim is 8J and I'm trying to maintain the same diameter as my original tyre. Also I don't want to go for a lower profile cos I know comfort will be sacrified. I think your front tyre is undersized.
I mentioned that it was not heavy at all, in fact I felt that it was abit lighter. I think whatever tyre we use it is still going to be abit noisier than the original profile and my ride was only abit noisier from my original, which is bearable for me. I'm on Yoko Advan Sport by the way.
Did you lower your ride? Mind to show us your pic?Maybe we should call for a meetup to share, I know there are some bros who also want to change their rims.

Bro ngiing,
Thot u were on 20" ? how cum become 19"?
yr front 235/35/R19 is havin smaller OD than original 225/50/R17...use any tyre conversion chart or web site program n u will realise...however, as long as u r comfortable...its yr choice! Just need to take note yr speedo meter does not reflect yr actual speed anymore....
Havin wider tyre behind is more stable during cornering....for sure but the OD is different from the front...IMO, u should do a speedo meter re-calibration....
Noise will always be present especially after u worn out the tyre...but road condition matters alot!! So, we need to compare wisely....i think yr town's road condition has improved a lot, rite?
