Car decal removal

Post by Deioruomu » Wed Mar 25, 2009 10:08 am

Hi all,

I would like to ask what kind of shops removes car stickers? Those shops that does these stickers? Or those that spray paints.

And also whether it leaves a sticky residue after removal, if so, what will I need to do to it (e.g. spray paint the car again?)

Please help.

Meaning the stickers can be peeled off by using our bare hands? Without any chemicals or any tools?

I experienced it once when helping my friend to remove his 3 year plus mit's decal logo. Depending on the duration of the decal on the car, it's not an easy job if it's there for some time oredi. Cheers.

That's some good info too. Thanks for your reply.

I was wondering whether it's worth it to ask people from the polish workshops to help me remove it for a fee. Not sure how much they would charge.

There will be people willing to help you if you willing to pay a reasonable fee, do a post in the forum and see. Good luck.

I heard from a friend that removing the stickers will be a very tedious job. I think I shall leave it to the professionals to help me with it. I'll go look for car polish peeps to help me with it for a reasonable price.

And yes bro, it will leave a sticky residue from what I've heard. Thanks for your info for me to add onto my database. :)

Need to remove a couple decals from my car. Anyone tried DIY before? Or any 'professionals' to recommend to do it?

Please help.
Dei, use Meguiars M09 or Deep Crystal Step 2 polish with MicroFibre Applicator.

Can take a little from me if you don;t have. North East zone.
