Mine is $2800. 30 yrs old, 12 years driving experience and 40% NCD.
But i am used to it liao... cos this is my 2nd R...
Getting a type R, u must be ready for the insurance.. other than that the rest quite ok la...nothing much.
Go get a WRX or STI then u see if FD2R insurance is ex.... STI easily about 2x..and that is the reason why i got the FD2R.

mine abt $2800+ also from AXA.. 33 yrs old with 55% NCD...
i have checked ard.. it seems many insurers decline type R and even from same insurer, the premium differs when going thru different brokers.. in my case, AXA quoted as high as 4k and low as 2k++ when quoted thru different brokers..
got a feeling the their quotations are not standardised so really gotto check ard for this.
