Its been that way all my working life. Been equeezed dry by our dear gahment for as long as I can remember.ml2spin wrote:Budget rant-- every time the Budget comes out, I'm made keenly aware of my pathetic state -- not rich enough to be insulated from the pinch but yet not poor enough to get more benefits -- in other words, the sandwich class -- kenna squeezed on income tax, car costs, mortgage and GST etc etc.
Sometimes I think I should just give up the car and move into a three-room HDB flat...

Dont get SC/utilities rebates, lower GST credits to start with, and Income Tax rebate can only benefit max $2,000.
got hope..go marry a SYT and produce two or more children to enjoy >=$20K income rebate...lucasrock wrote:Yeah man.....the sandwich class is the worst!!!!!ml2spin wrote:Budget rant-- every time the Budget comes out, I'm made keenly aware of my pathetic state -- not rich enough to be insulated from the pinch but yet not poor enough to get more benefits -- in other words, the sandwich class -- kenna squeezed on income tax, car costs, mortgage and GST etc etc.

Self-inflicted parking scrape on rear bumper got me thinking about a respray last week...
Although it is quite minor, my car groomer has said that the 4 year plus paint is getting quite thin already -- making it harder to get rid of imperfections duirng grooming.
I'm considering to change the car's colour from black to something silverish or gunmetal -- any colour that's easy to maintain and LTA/ROV-friendly -- ah pek colours also can!!
So how? Respray or full car sticker job??
I'm leaning towards sticker job because it's reversible and no need to groom car anymore. Less messy process too.
But i have my doubts about its ability to last for more than 2 years...
Comments pls~!!

Black or white are definitely out as they are very tough to maintain...deanlim wrote:y not spray to matt black....ml2spin wrote:Self-inflicted parking scrape on rear bumper got me thinking about a respray last week...

Ian....since your car is black, why not sticker the 3 flat panels with CF print.ml2spin wrote:Black or white are definitely out as they are very tough to maintain...deanlim wrote:y not spray to matt black....ml2spin wrote:Self-inflicted parking scrape on rear bumper got me thinking about a respray last week...

...Bonnet, roof and boot. It will look good and blends in with the rest of the black panels.......these 3 flat panels always tends to turn dull first without constant grooming.
Hmmm... should only be two -- roof and boot.lucasrock wrote:Ian....since your car is black, why not sticker the 3 flat panels with CF print.ml2spin wrote:Black or white are definitely out as they are very tough to maintain...deanlim wrote: y not spray to matt black....

Colour change idea is also a sign of my suppressed modding itch...
