Car Battery

My car tech informed me that my car battery is recommended for replacement, it cost S$160.00 for maintanance free battery.
I intend to shop around first before i commit.
Any one can please recommend a good battery, place to get and how much.

can try poh heng. last time i got a NON-maintenance free battery for $90. MF batteries don't last as long as normal ones...
i'd recommend Varta if you got the cash.

you can try sin ming autopoint. 3rd floor, forgot the name, but its beside my friend's workshop LOH HENG.
they do battery.

not treu. battery life span depends alot on cranking as in frequent short trips? this will shorten your battery cranking health. and whether did u power off your ICE,air-con...etc before u begin your next cranking. i am using a device called battery bug, it helps me to monitor my battery life and cranking status, and it warns me even my batt fails me.why change batt when it is not fully utilised?

PS: probably some of you might have already come across
"state of the art" technology but fairly expensive
