a tribute to honda single cam fans,
my d16, my built, my EK..
Hey SHC bros & sisters.. u can skip this, this is pretty long winded...
"i have been a devoted rider of mitsubishi, in 2006 some crazy temptation lure me to buy my first honda, a ek3 4 door.. and ever since the needs for adrenalin keeps driving me to push this little SOHC to its limits..
During this 6 years, my ek blown 2 blocks, re-work 3 cylinder heads even break my bisimoto cam..
Friends & tuners keep telling me to spend on a B or even a K-series engine, where I would be happy as i would satisfied my hunger for speed..
Problem is my hard head & stubborness tells me to not to give up on this single cam; therefore I decided to built a fast & yet reliable all motor d16 engine, the answer and the information I collect from the web mostly shows huge power through the easy way of turbocharging, very little on a full NA built and almost nothing about the reliability of the engine..
The current setup have lasted for almost 1 year (since Jan 2011), and each time i drive, i pushed it to 8k as much as i could on every shift.. and i am glad to say that.. d16 did the juice, and can be damn reliable..
sadly it takes alot of cash & trial to make it happen...
