Lifespan of tyres
Lifespan of tyres
Hi pple, Wat's the lifespan of the factory fitted potenza RE 030? I've done 60000 km/ 2yrs & the year of manufacture of the tyres is 05. I'm not sure if the tyres has gone 'hard' as the ride has been became abit noiser.

Re: Lifespan of tyres
imo, in our weather condition, a working set would last only 1 year or so...aloha_06 wrote:Hi pple, Wat's the lifespan of the factory fitted potenza RE 030? Close the gap, lower the car ba. If use a different tyre profile then your speedometer will not be accurate already.aloha_06 wrote:Looks like i have to change.....i think i'd change the rims as well. I was think changing it to 16" but what's the tyres that's suitable to close the gap between the tyres and the body?

See above link.
But if u wanna get 205/50/R16, I'm selling my rim and tire.

this is a good rule of thumb.
actually i would think 30-40K, would be a good time to change.
rather be safe than sorry.
the only contact point of the vehicle is the tyres.
so safer is better
