battery

Post by dawnlite » Fri Dec 07, 2007 12:45 am

Hi.. i am new to this Green Honda but am interested to find out more..

ok as it has a battery, we all know the more we charge our battery, they less effective it will be come... am I right? abt how long it last?

will KM be the only place to service cause seem like the service package is quite high...but since the battery is a concern, I think back to them is better right?

thanks in advance for those who help in answer..

i'm charging my handphone everyday without fail for years
still it never say fail yet

given today technology, it might not be the same like yesteryear
but of course it will not last forever too

KM warrant us 3years or 100km - whichever come first
but i know in the US standard 8 years for IMA batt

if 3 years later IMA kaput, we can go direct to honda for replacement
but my estimation it will last me abt 5years or more
but i will not able see it demise

servicing must go back to KM as missing them means gave up your warranty
but we can pay the bare basic instead of the full package price
example we can opt pay 18 instead of 138 for the first 1k

btw hybrid still a normal car, nothin in IMA need any special needs

I am sure your handphones battery will not fail so fast as it is not MiNH type. But after years. You cannot be sure it is still 100% capacity. We cannot compare Singapore vs USA as for them, everytime they drive, they drive a much longer distance vs Singapore. So charging condition change (and weather too).

please take note that the hybrid does not need the batt to function.

so please do not compare the ima batt to those of equipment that functions
normally with a batt.

i can safetly say that depending on how you drive, you may not charge or
discharge the ima batt much everyday.

its like converting kinetic energy that is wasted to potential energy that can be stored. how much potential energy being stored will depend on how you drive.

after driving for a while you will note that you do not need to maximise the batt to maximise FC.

it is just a high tech car with all the enjoyments of a honda with lower FC

Wrong, you do need the battery in working condition.

hi. u dont need the battery to be working for the car to move, if that is wat u mean.

if the battery fails for any reason, the car wld still move, abeit, with less performance. :)
