Just went to test drive the CP2 again over the weekend, this time to test out 'S' mode as advised. Remarkable improvement in drivability, it drives very similiar to the CM5 when in 'S' mode, punchy acceleration available on tap. Of course, the engine smoothness is still way way behind the Teana V6, but the power now feels roughly similar. Throttle response is sharpened up so much!!
The assigned SE is really hopeless, he wasn't even aware about the 'S' mode , and was at first adament that the 'S' mode was for manual shifting only, until i proved him wrong! Made me a little reluctant to give the business to him, don't feel that he is deserving of the business. Anyway putting that all aside, as previous experience tells me that the SE would have locked your IC number into the KM system(so you can't change SE for 3 months), booked the CP2 over the weekend anyway.

Hi JTIS,
Congrats! You are another contribution to the Accord customer rentention ratio!
What's colour did you choose & when's the ETA?
Will try out the D-S next time too. V6 is always sweet, but more thirsty than in-line 4.

Took the black with grey interior, and delivery is scheduled in 3 weeks. Delayed it so that the roadtax and insurance for the CM5 can be maximised, didn't want waste it since it is paid till Dec. Otherwise, i believe i could have taken delivery this week since i got my own COE. They appear to have a lot of ex-stock for the accord....

They have *very* limited stocks for the Royal Ruby Red Pearl. The rest of the colours have about the same in stock - quite well spread out.

The ruby red appears to be 'limited edition' already, according to my SE, it is no longer available nor offered for sale even as of 2 weeks ago.

Just sharing with the rest of the bros here.
I called them up because I am interested in the new 2009 JDM Accord. However, if it's not available with the 2 litre engine option, may be a bit difficult to "justify" getting the 2.4 litre version....

I read that Europe will be getting a 2.0l version, hopefully it'll come here too.

Yes, there is indeed a 2 litre version that you can go for in Europe.
Guess we can only wait until Honda Japan unveils the JDM version of the new Accord to find out if there will be a 2 litre version available.

JTIS,
SE k only lock u for maximum 2 weeks once you test drive with him/her. After that, u can proceed to buy from SE. But since he already accomodated yr 3rd testing, fair to give him business la...
Btw, black exterior comes in black leather interior, where do u find grey interior?
Thx

Sakura Carz has opened bookings for the new Accord EURO in Today's Classified. Wonder how's the price like?

Hi Junning,
I called Sakura Carz up and was quoted S$97,988 for the new 2009 JDM Honda Accord. This is based on a guaranteed COE/delivery package. The quoted price is for the 2.4 litre version with OMV estimated to be around S$31K. Also, was told that the new 2009 JDM Accord would no longer be available with a 2 litre engine option.
According to the person I spoke to, the new JDM Honda Accord will be launched by Honda Japan at the end of October 2008. Car will only arrive in Singapore sometime in January 2009, with delivery to buyers targetted for before CNY 2009.
Best Rgds,
Dan
