damienism wrote: another question on our 5G. not sure if it happens to MT. There is a 'churning' sound coming probably from the engine side. the sound gets louder after higher speed/stepping harder on the accelerator. It sounds like a belt churning, comes and goes and doesn't have any distinct pattern observed yet for the occurrence.
Hi all,

I went for my 1k servicing yesterday and asked the service advisor to check out the 'churning' sound.

The finding was that the metal plate (is it called rotor plate) behind the brake disc was rubbing against the brake disc. They have since adjusted and the sound no longer happens.

so 5G bros, you may wanna take note of this and get it fixed asap since i'd think it's a manufacturing issue.

cheers
How much were u charged for yr 1k servicing?Need to leave car for a day or can wait?Just need to change oil right?

i reached there at 8+am. left the car there. collected at 130pm because they had to check on the churning sound problem.

Mileage go in 1066km, collected 1078km haha took abt 10km for them to diagnose the problem. not bad

Anyway, here's the breakdown of my 1k servicing, for the benefit of bros outside cityzen:
1) Engine oil - Not charged because I used the engine oil a bro from Cityzen lent me
2) Oil Filter - $12.30
3) Washer - $1.12
4) Labour - $20
Total: $35.76 incl GST

I went to Lengkee to do my 1k servicing, it was there for the whole day, send in morning, collected at 5pm.... was told 12.30 can collect, if no call then 2pm, i message the SA at 3pm and he say around 4pm then ready... :(
well, at least I saved that day's parking fees as i don't need the car while in office.
