wah. if its the Honda Inspire. Its so called the CP3. They only quote me $25-28K for OMV and they can't confirm it.
You guys think can buy? They say reaching end jan or end feb. i'm very interested to commit but afraid that i might have to top up.
What you guys think?
I called V**C** up last weekend to enquire about the new JDM Accord that they were advertising in the papers and got two different response from each of the branch's SE I spoke with. One of them told me the price of S$82,988 is valid only if you take a minimum of 80% car loan while the other one that I spoke with told me that this price is for the Japan version of the Accord from K** M***** (i.e. known as the Honda Inspire in Japan)!
The price of the new JDM Accord, according to this SE, would be around S$98K and not S$82,988. Naturally, I was surprised by what I was told since this differs greatly from what was advertised in the papers.
As what the other bros here mention, do be careful when dealing with the PIs so that you know what you are paying for and getting at the end of the day.

Problem is the SE keeps insisting that this so called Japan version of the Accord (i.e. Honda Inspire) that they are bringing in comes with a 2.4 litre engine but as far as I know the Honda Inspire isn't available with a 2.4 litre engine option in Japan! Also, how could the price of the Honda Inspire be cheaper than that of the JDM Honda Accord?
true true. Inspire only available in 3.5L. Can go kick that SE ass for us. haHA1883 wrote:Hi bro,Cochran wrote:wah. if its the Honda Inspire. Its so called the CP3. But then with added + made in Japan, got Super handling wheel? some more cheaper than MITHA1883 wrote: Hi Bro,

well if not in a hurry can always wait for the car to arrive. also IMHO the 2.4E is not worth buying, so little stuff. in the end will probably regret.
should see if/when the 2.4TL / Sports model will be available.
it's not like Civic launch and pple prebook from KM even though car not here, cos at least that's authorised dealer and most pple know what they are getting.
with PI i guess we have to have some more caution.

Hi bro,weaver87 wrote:I think the PI is talking about JDM CU model that comes only in 2.4L. Not the Honda Aspire 3.5L. He is either blurr or trying to con u. Ask for pic to verify!![]()
Yes, I think he was probably trying to pull a fast one. In any case, he seemed to be a bit "lost" when I mentioned I would like to enquire abt the new JDM Accord (CU model). In fact, he wasn't even aware that their company had placed an advertisement on the papers.
Anyway, if you take a look at yesterday's Classified section, the PI has now revised the price to S$98,888 for the new JDM Accord 2.4e.

Agreed with you it's probably better to wait and see the actual car first before committing.
Yes, the 2.4E version of the new JDM Accord is a little bit under-specced in my opinion. The 2.4TL-Sports Style model is available for booking but on an indent basis. Spoke to another PI and was told it would be approx. S$5K more for this version. From what I know, seems like the specs for the 2.4 TL-Sports Style model is much better: HID lights, 18" alloy wheels, body kit, engine start-stop button etc.

They had the TL version in the showroom when i book the 24E version. missing out things that the SE told me that its included. like the rear aircon and leather seats. the rest i can do without. other than that , i had the rest in black and white. but never ask for a lot of things anyway.hhong wrote:congrats bro...please ensure that you have written black and white for all the things promised by your sales person...

an update... for those who might be concerned with the pinging in CU2, it seems that only the May 2008 build has this problem.
and Honda has confirmed that it is a problem and determined that it is 'combustion after the ignition cycle'... apparently, a fix is on its way. wonder what that 'fix' might be..
