Sounds pretty much overpriced considering KM's 2.4L Accord, which is better equipped, is only going for abt 97k.sarion wrote:last weekend car emporium was quoting $99,800 for the 2.4E... expected before CNY deliveryautoglymer wrote:Was surfing around and found an advert from a local PI selling the JDM Accord for $92,988 with guanranteed COE. The advert I saw is from M*r*g* Motors. I would think it's 24E given its $92,988.
too much overpriced IMHO since Mazda6 2.5l is only $82k and that's authorised dealer somemore
of cos the Accord makes more horsepower, but power considerations aside, having driven the previous Mazda6 for a while, I would say it's not that bad too! except for the not so low FC. the new one should have improvements
I would only hope that the launch of the JDM version would push KM to bring in their Accord with Thai specs i.e. 200bhp and 6 airbags.
if it comes with sunroof and auto-dimming mirror options even better, cos only then would it start to match a JDM 2.4TL spec
it just doesn't feel right that Thailand can have better spec cars than us! we should be on equal terms!

Dun think the TH 2.4L Accord has 200 horses; 180 only. Specs: http://www.honda.co.th/en/showroom/hond ... pec_eq.phpsarion wrote:too much overpriced IMHO since Mazda6 2.5l is only $82k and that's authorised dealer somemore

Air-bags are probably where we lose out.

Just an update for everyone. Called V*n*c*r over the weekend. Selling CU2 for abt 83k. It's 24E and OMV is est abt 24-25k. ETA end Jan.autoglymer wrote:Sounds pretty much overpriced considering KM's 2.4L Accord, which is better equipped, is only going for abt 97k.sarion wrote:last weekend car emporium was quoting $99,800 for the 2.4E... expected before CNY deliveryautoglymer wrote: Was surfing around and found an advert from a local PI selling the JDM Accord for $92,988 with guanranteed COE. Now if only some PI is bring in the 24TL - looks like an on indent basis model.
yeah u r right, and even the Odyssey EXV, though managing to get the curtain airbags, still lose out to a JDM accord since it doesn't have auto-dimming mirrors....autoglymer wrote:Dun think the TH 2.4L Accord has 200 horses; 180 only. Specs: http://www.honda.co.th/en/showroom/hond ... pec_eq.php

KM is really a decade behind in technology, only thinking of $$$ and not how to outsmart/outclass competitors

Went to V*n*c*r @ Alexcier today. Was told CU2 (24E) is now $98,988. Enquired abt the earlier $82,8000 advert, no one was able to answer my question. Queried on est OMV, no answer. Beats me on how they do biz and how they derive $98,988.autoglymer wrote:Just an update for everyone. Called V*n*c*r over the weekend. Selling CU2 for abt 83k. It's 24E and OMV is est abt 24-25k. Market very soft, so becareful and really ask for all relevant info needed. KM CP2 already dropped price and below CU2 price mentioned by you here.
Cheers!

Nice...new CU2 on the road...y not show us as well? Then we could have a good comparison and post online for everyone?autoglymer wrote:Just an update for all. I collected my CU2 on 25 Mar 2009; could be among 1st on the road - not sure. Built quality is miles ahead of Thai-made CP.
Come think about it, I should drive over to KM to show Vincent. Time for KM to wake up on their "size is everything" idea.
Congrats!
Do you happen to live in Ang Mo Kio Ave 4 ? coz i have been seeing a Black CU2 lately along AMK Ave 4.
