One more... Euro S on sgcarmart http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info ... 86&DL=1136. That makes 3x 2009 CU for sale.

Wow, 94k. Definately out to make a quick buck. I wonder who would buy it at that price.

hi, am looking around to buy a second hand car... and saw the CU2 from SGCARMART... am considering a new JDM Camry (2010 facelift) or a Honda Accord..

Saw one unit at Jul09, and the other Sep09 car, plus the third one Euro S at $94k....If the car that bad? they are fairly new...

What would be a reasonable price for the Jul09, and Sep09 car?

The car itself is good, if MBM can resolve the ping issue. However, the only gripe I had with the 94k car is that for a May09 Euro S, it would have cost less than 90k new.

Of course, you're more than welcomed to join a meet up to have a look at the CU2.

whatever u choose, dont get a CNG converted car!! Yes, k see CU & CP side by side to compare is most ideal!!

cheers!

Hi there,

thanks very much for the advice. I will go down and take a look at the Jul09, and the other Sep09 car... will see if I would like to grab one of it. Otherwise will get a new one instead... Thanks again!

Hi Bros, I read some of the earlier posting talking about some Pinging sound, how to I check if on the vehicle?

Is this problem happens to Japan made Accord or the Aussie/NZ Accord?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Lets put this way, the pinging is intermitten, randomly affects any vehicle whether auto or manual (although the trend seems to be auto). Usually you will hear it at approx 2500-3500 rpm on a gentle acceleration, sounds like a thin metal pieces being bashed together. Try to take a test drive in a *quiet* location, turn off the a/c and wind down the windows, think going up multistory carpark best.

From what I understand so far, it affects the Aus/NZ Accord and TSX. Havent heard anything about the South African and Euro models, mainly cos nobody buys the CU2 there, most buy the CU3. Havent heard any complaints on the JDM model yet.

Anyhow, we paid a visit to MBM recently to fix the ping and I do hope that with the TSB, they are able to help us to fix it.

Thanks lingamair... now I understand the problem better.. I will try to test drive it at a quiet location to see if I can detect the "pinging sound".

I hope you can get the issue resolved at MBM. Thank you.

Hi all,

Update. Was at MBM today and spoke with them re the pinging. They mentioned that they are aware and that there's a Honda recall notice for it and they will inform the CU2 owners accordingly.

I don't think they will recall those CU2 bought from other PI. However i believe everything can be dicuss. Like paying some monies
