As the car will have been registered in your name before delivery, KM & other vendors will want to make sure that necessary paymants are made beforehand to avoid dispute on delivery date.

Check for the disputable items and those features that you need for safe driving, like lights & wipers, on collection date. Disputables are paintwork (scratches & dents) and glass & plastics (inclusing windscreens, window panes and headlight & rearlight clusters), leather seats (for scratches or tears or torn stitching); because the damage could have occured after taking delivery. Ensure that defects are recorded by SE in writing (get a photocopy for yourself) if cannot be rectified properly before you take delivery.

Congrats!

There are two unusual features introduced in the new City:

1) underseat tray (storage space) beneath the rear bench seats. This space is available inside the cabin because the fuel tank is slung under the floor directly beneath the front seats, just like for Jazz/Fit.

2) back of rear seats are not only foldable (60:40) but also have two options for angle of inclination, in the LX model. Perhaps appreciated by rear passengers during long journeys.

Torque magazine, November 2008, has test drive reviews of both the City & Jazz.
