seems like my ES has alot of vibration...
when stationary, aircon shivering caused the vibration..
when travelled above 100km/hr the steering wheel vibrate (did wheel balancing liao, i guess the ppl nv do a proper job for me...)
feels like driving a van....

problem solved.
but after my recent accident the problem resurfaced .. the impact probably loosened the mounting? not sure yet.. but ill get it checked and ill get back to you
(throttle body cleaned recently, no improvement to "shivering")
how much it cost to change the engine mounting?
my car does shiver too when idling....
i tot something wrong with the compressor or the engine mounting...
it's a 2005 ES5.
i checked my receipt dated one year ago when i replaced my engine mounting.. (not sure how many the mech replaced, but it solved the shivering then)
cost is $250 including labour. jurong area
u got the address for the ws where u did the engine mounting?
thanks.

Hi bros, so u able to solve ur "shivering" problem?
Jus send my car to the 80k servicing and according to the advisor, he mention tat this is usually the case for fd4 and it happens bcos when the aircon compressor kicks in, it draw power, causing the rpm to drop, and when it drop, the car will "shivers".
According to him, the car will still shiver and guess the engine mounting will only help to prevent us from feeling the shivering.

Seems to be a common problem for Honda Civic..... i have complained a few times to KM but throttle cleaning and others has been done.... but nothing has changed ever since.
Has any brothers and sisters here had experience to solve it once and for all?
Engine mounting faults is possible but if it doesn't solve the problem, then its again a waste of money!!!

my model is CM4.
Just went to have the car mechanic checked, he told me it is the enginer mounting issue on the "shivering". But I am skeptical on it. So i tried to have the throttle body clean and now monitoring.
btw, what is the damage to change the engine mounting? Anyone?

Sent to KM for throttle body cleaning twice, tune the idling rpm up and have the engine mounts replaced - yet the problem surfaced weeks after. Not sure if this problem is inherent in my '08 1.6 civic or KM did not do a proper throttle body cleaning. Any further advise anyone?

Hi Guys.
I just bought a 2nd hand 2007 Civic.
What is a recommended engine mount, saw Hasport Mount, is that a good engine mount?
Need some advise before I do a change.
TIA

IMO 3 possibilities...
1)Engine Mounting
2)Idling Valve Faulty
3)Tappet Clearance needs to be checked.
Hope this helps...

After cleaning your throttle body, mostly likely its either the engine mounting or the plug coil that need to be check. Before you start your vehicle, it's starts the virbrate?

If car is still under warranty, go back to KM.
