might be a good idea, qucik check on sg car mart seems like got demand for rb1 with COE extension
http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/list ... EH=0&AVL=2

the k20a engine has been around for 10 years and there are lots of parts, and its still a very modern looking design

Yes me , original owner . Now 11th year. 260kkm.
All major servicing done at KM. Gearbox not changed still ok only cold start jerk once
Just need to warm up to avoid the jerk. PS pump n rack changed @ 9th year...common wear and tear.
Wheel bearings, alternator starter never changed and checked to be working well.
Standard wear items , shocks , tyres, brake pads changed.

I have planned a gb overhaul if need abt $3k.
Saw the new "2014" model ody n was disappointed v badly. Extreme lack of storage space.
Driver centre no flip storage that we have, now it's empty and SR says its for "walkway" what nonsense.
Glove compartment n door storage as small as ever. My 2005 wood trim steering wheel n dash is still looks more luxurious.
And exterior profiled more like a sedan than a boxy van now.

When renewing my Coe was $70k n new ody was $170k then....
Now a 5yr renew Coe ody asking for $50k n mine is 10yr renewed.
I lost 16-17k parf , but I would be losing 30k on a new ody (140k)
Hoping for a FL of the 2014 w better storage n price to drop to $120+ in the coming years
I also concerned abt the CVT gb , won't last like mine .
Ody is a very good car in the hands of a good owner n a careful driver.

oo thanks for the reply.

just got a JDM RB1 with 1 yrs + more left.

Lucky for me, not much stuff need to repair, only spend 500+ for major servicing.

Now steering wheel having some funny aeroplane noise, check @ SKM and reveal to be the Power steering pump hose need replace.

Very fun car, torque very hig

once carry 7 pax full load, car still able to pickup and feel no drag at all compare to my pass sedan car with 5 pax full load.

Hoping no problem within this last years and definitely will renew this car. Don't think i can find a similar spacious and powerful engine for 7-8k dep.

It's starts w the hose , then the PS pump needs replacement . Sometime later the rack gone.
Just think of it as one time wear n tear cost as compared to monthly installments for new .
Change the shocks n tyres n it feels new. Most parts I buy fr Stockist n some I get fr KM parts centre @ Ubi they give
a 20% discount even better than Stockist.
I only do ATF change at KM every 40kkm, n that's y its lasted me super long , cross fingers.

Any one deciding to scrap his/her RB1 - mine COE will be ending Jan 2018. Wanted to let go and not maintaining. Can anyone advice where should I go for better return scrap value.

Thank you.

Best regards,
Kevin
