WTS:Exedy Hypersingle Clutch used with BNIB repad/disc

Post by YH » Thu Jul 28, 2016 7:06 pm

For K series engines with manual 6 speed gear box (DC5, EuroR, FD2R, FN2R etc)

As mentioned in the title

The original clutch kit was used for a year for about 15K-20K

Removed from car when I upgraded to a carbon clutch

I bought the new repad or the replacement disc from Japan thinking that I might have to use it again when my carbon clutch wears out.

Do take note that this clutch has NEVER been repad before

Plans have changed and this is now not needed, even as a spare clutch.

The whole clutch kit (pressure plate, original disc and flywheel) AND the BNIB replacement disc/repad for JUST $500

Price is firm. The repad itself is nearly $400 new. If you bring the clutch kit to an experience workshop, they will even tell you that the original disc still has plenty of life in it

So for $500, you are essentially getting a 80-90% new clutch kit that sells for 1.5K new. The only thing you need to buy for this is the clutch bearing (which most reputable workshops will carry anyway)

If you are keen and if the price is agreeable with you, please PM me you contact and I will get back to you asap.

Cheers!

How is the stiffness compared to the stock clutch?

Won't lie to you. It's definitely stiffer, around the same pressure as orgura

If your engine is built or modified, and if you can't stand the ice-cream van sound, this is a good alternative to ORC

If your engine is stock, then I would suggest you just get the stock clutch

It's abit stiff but once bolt on k20a or k20a3. It brings out your true engine power. I'm using same model of clutch for almost 9 years and I never look back on stock clutch since. For keen buyer's info if its unknown...this set of clutch is actually the same as toda racing and Js racing clutch. They tag their own brand's name after direct purchase from exedy. The replacement exedy clutch pad can be use on either this 3 sets of clutch.
