I'll need enough mounting tape to reposition a Defi control unit and a VFCII half the size of that.....will try to get creative as to where I can mount these things, maybe lose my cupholders and fabricate a custom angled tiered deck to put all these control units....EK_Series wrote:may join u guys on the 19th. if you want, i still have leftover 3m mounting tape. you can have it.

Bro, I also have those black color double sided mounting tapes used by radio shop. I will pass to u if u need it.DIRT22 wrote:I'll need enough mounting tape to reposition a Defi control unit and a VFCII half the size of that.....will try to get creative as to where I can mount these things, maybe lose my cupholders and fabricate a custom angled tiered deck to put all these control units....EK_Series wrote:may join u guys on the 19th. if you want, i still have leftover 3m mounting tape. you can have it.

btw i'm also thinking of taking out the cupholders cos the slot above i use for defi and my pre amp. does not look neat leh. wanna customise the upper slot for my pre amp and the cupholder slot for my defi control unit.
We'd need to take out the centre console section to see whether we can cut neat holes to thread the wiring in from behind.....and of course remove the brackets for the cup-holder.....although if I do this my GF would be quite unhappy ha ha she's taken to actually using the cupholders for holding things.....not cups lah but things like handphone or ciggy boxes etc....EK_Series wrote:should have enough. if not i think other bros also will bring especially if they wanna diy.

The slot above the cup-holders is taken up by my FConS.....although it doesn't fill up the entire area I pretty much can't squeeze anything thicker than a CD jewel case in there liao, so that space is out.EK_Series wrote: maybe can try on the 19th. if not dun look neat leh. 2 things stuck in one din.
I'll look at the cup-holder section....it's too far forward for me to put things I wanna reach easily (bluetooth headset, ciggies etc) and I don't use it to put canned drinks so the place is kinda redundant. I used to have 2 Defi white-face 52mm meters there before I switched to the LinkDisplay in front of my speedo so chances are I'll just see how I can shift the VSD Concept control unit as well as the VFCII control unit to that area.....we'll see on the 19th lah, hope to be able to work something out that'll look neat yup!
oh. forgot about that expensive stuff you've got there. haha. anyway did you customise something to slot in ur hks fconS?DIRT22 wrote:The slot above the cup-holders is taken up by my FConS.....although it doesn't fill up the entire area I pretty much can't squeeze anything thicker than a CD jewel case in there liao, so that space is out.EK_Series wrote: maybe can try on the 19th. if not dun look neat leh. 2 things stuck in one din.

Hi Pete,
Might have problems getting materials for the mounting brackets ( oil catch tank ) as I still did not finalise the mounting position although it is most likely at the master brake cylinder area.....
Maybe try to get hold of some brass strips or any metal plates and c how first. Any advise?
