What tyre u have changed lately?

Post by Waterbottle » Tue May 27, 2014 10:44 pm

It's time to prep for tyre change.
Previously using AD08 and there's a new AD08R out replacing the latter. After reading reviews, it seem tat wet traction is not good.

Am looking to use Bridgestone again, RE11A, RE070. Has anyone bought the RE55S?
Care to share your opinions? Thanks.

Bro, I used the RE55S years ago for track. It's really good. Wet grip is bad though. For sepang, it's best to use SR2 compound as the road temp is very high. I think Bridgestone has discontinued this tyre. Check for year of manufacture before buying.

Anyway, I'm just bought RE11S couple of months ago. Great for wet roads. I used to use RE11 years ago and won the street class time attack.

Cheers.

Ya. I did some research and RE11S replaces the 55S. Strangely the reviews for 55S all point to wet is poor. But 11S which replaces the 55 has good wet traction. Btw how much you bought the 11S? Is it noisy? I called up a tyre shop today but said never heard of 11S.

Bro, my mistake. I just bought the RE11a, not the RE11S. RE11S is a semi slick tyre successor to RE55S.

Good deal. Was quoted $330/pc from Cheng Jin @ kaki bukit.
