tips on car grooming

Postby hotouch » Mon Jan 11, 2010 11:34 am

I just bought a car and need tips on grooming. Washing, polishing, waxing. PLease help me as i'm really new to this whole business. What kind of sponge and cloth you guys use?

I'm using synthetic chamois cloth now to do drying.

I don't know which product to buy, i would prefer cheap and easily bought in supermarket or autobac, please recommend. Thanks guys

1st use a hose to rinse your car
2nd : just use water to wash can liao, only when you are going to wax your car then only you use shampoo, me am using Meguiar's brand. But for polishing am using Autoglym Super Resin Polish.

If you got baby, know the baby cloth that wrap like diaper? cheap and good..

2. Do not wash, polish, or wax your car in the sun when the sun is hot. It could streak or stain the paint surface.
3. For car covers, use natural fabrics that breathe, like cotton. Make sure the car cover is secure.

actually all polish & wax are almost the same. see how u do only.

went to Autobacs and buy the polisher machine. indeed not bad. cost 115.
Just plug on the cig point can use liao. but start ur engine while doing coz it cost me 140 after I polish my car to change the battery.
