Recently my honda airwave got some issues with the gearbox.

Whenever moving off from a halt, its like the gear cant be engaged, and when u accelerate, it suddenly jerk forward.

Bring it to a workshop and they said the gearbox chain is burnt, thus need chg the gearbox chain and was quoted $1k+.

Any bros out here have repaired their gearbox before?

Very common issues wif gd fit nd earlier batch of airwave. Try the cheaper method. Flush gearbox oil and top up wif fresh hmmf japan cvt fluid. Cvt gearbox very sensitive and needs extra care. Norm ally to change every 20k km. Or try look out for eddie buddy club9272 3423. He is specialize in honda fit. He solved some issues wif gearbox before. [/list]
